ON a sunny day in June last year, a family decided to go trekking in the jungle near Fraser’s Hill. Four boys lost their way and were finally found after two days in the 8,000 sq m jungle with the help of police force and the special Senoi Praaq trekkers.

WITH over 150,000 species of insects found in the country, it is not unusual to encounter some that sting. Nearly everyone has been stung by an insect at one time or another. It is an unpleasant experience though oftentimes, the injury is only temporary pain or an itch.

Last Saturday, the Seagull Express ferry, en route to Tioman Island, caught fire and sank. All 103 passengers, the ferry’s captain and two crews onboard plunged into the sea.
