Home Destinations Islands Islands

Tioman is the biggest and most impressive island at the east coast. There is a brisk jungle covers a ridge on the west section of the island, which ends at the idyllic location of a beautiful palm fringed beach. Tioman offers a wide range of activities for visitors: snorkeling in crystal clear water, discover the beautiful underwater world when you go diving, or just laze on the beach while you work on that tan. Also, there is a jungle on the island that is just begging to be explored. The dense forest is a habitat for many kinds of flora and fauna.
Tioman was discovered as a holiday destination quite some time ago. It was the setting for the supposedly mythical magical island of Bali Hai from the 1958 Hollywood movie 'South Pacific'. In the 70s the Time magazine selected Tioman as one of the world's most beautiful islands.
Tioman is still rated as one of the world's most beautiful islands. It presents itself as a paradise island in the tropics. But sometimes you have to search for this paradise off the beaten track.

Lang Tengah Island or Pulau Lang Tengah is an island off the coast of Terengganu, Malaysia. It features crystal clear seawater, pristine brilliant white
beaches and untouched tropical jungle. It is located roughly halfway between Redang island and Perhentian Island, and is connected to the mainland via a 30 minutes speedboat ride from Merang Jetty.
Translated from Bahasa Malaysia, Pulau Lang Tengah means an eagle resting on the middle island (Pulau Lang Tengah is between Pulau Perhentian and Pulau Redang).
The island appeals more to holiday goers who are looking for a quiet tropical island getaway (compared to whats happening in Redang). Compared to its more famous sister islands such as the Perhentians and Pulau Redang, Pulau Lang Tengah is not as well-known, which means you can still pretty much have the island to yourself and avoid and tourists crowd. Currently, Lang Tengah attracts only some enthusiast
divers, and accommodations are provided by its four resorts.

Golden sandy beaches with shady coconut palms coastline stretches from the state of Kelantan through the state of Terengganu and Pahang and extends south to Johor. Thailand borders the East Coast towards the north. Being geographically cut off by the mountainous Main Range, the East Coast has retained its traditional customs, arts and crafts, coconut plantations and unique traditional houses. The unhurried pace of life makes it an ideal destination for a relaxing holiday far from the maddening crowd.
Terengganu stretches along the east coast between Kelantan to the north and Pahang the south with a coastline of 225 kilometres. The beautiful golden sandy beaches along the coastline are also one of the very few nesting grounds of the Giant Leatherback Turtle (Dermochelys coriacea).
